No Fuss Makeup ~ Pool Edition

While it’s a little late in the summer,  we will still be enjoying hot, pool weather for another month or so. In fact that is where we are headed today to have one last hoorah at a local aquatic center before we start getting into school mode…I’m quite sure that I enjoy back to school time even less as an adult than I did as a teenager…sue me, I like having my kids home all day.

I thought I would share my go to items for easy, no fuss makeup…you can see that many of these items are well used, and the supergoop is my favorite by far. SPF is so important and I hate having a greasy, heavy feeling on my face. IMG_1964

I start off with these items to prep my face. I shower in the evening, so I use the towelettes to just remove the oil and any residue from my nighttime products. I have tried them all…and for the price you can’t beat the generic ones. Honestly. I’ve used the Wal Mart brand for a while and they work great. IMG_1956

After the towelettes, I apply the L’Oreal gel moisturizer, Porefessional Mattifying Gel to my t-zone and the Original Porefessional to my nose. Then I apply the balm shelter tinted moisturizer all over my face. I love that it has SPF and the extra moisturizer is great for the dry climate I live in.

I then apply this creamy concealer from Maybelline, it is the Dream Brightening Creamy Concealer in fair under my eyes, I wear the shade Light, I don’t have dark circles but it helps to just even out the skin tone. Then I use Benefit’s Galifornia blush right on my cheekbone with an angled brush.

I keep my eye makeup pretty simple, even on days when I wear a full face of makeup. My lash extensions make my eyes pop enough. I do line the bottom lid with Smashbox Jet Set liner in the shade Deep Black and wing it just a bit. I then use Maybelline brow powder in light brown to fill my brows in and a L’Oreal brow pencil in brunette to add the appearance of fuller brows. If I do wear eyeshadow I use just a little Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden and then shadow just to the middle top of my lid. This shade is a sample I received and I don’t recognize the brand, but it is from the Revealed Smoky palette by CoastalScents and the color is not listed on the packaging.

I then finish off my face with the Cover Girl Ready Set Gorgeous face powder in light and some brow gel to hold the shape of my brows. Once that dries I apply the supergoop setting powder. Like I said I love the SPF and super love that it is not heavy. I use this everyday and I have not burned once all summer. It is seriously the best!

Last but not least is the LipSense. If you haven’t heard of this yet…go find a distributor…like now. I love this lipcolor. It lasts all day, seriously if you don’t remove it at night you will still have it on in the morning. It is drying, so a good lip balm is necessary each night, but the possibilities are endless. Maybe I will post about my favorites next week…but today I am wearing Precious Topaz and the Opal Gloss.

And now we are off for a fun day! As a side note, taking tutorial pictures is much more difficult that I thought…but practice makes perfect…so thanks for bearing with me while I hone my lack of skills. Happy Friday!
